Our Methodology:

I

Our 5-Step Model

The process of design and development is the most important component of an eLearning course because its the first recognition or interaction the student will have with your product. Therefore I believe that designers should ensure they make their product easy, intuitive, and appropriate. Easy means that buttons, navigation, and design should be user-oriented that allows ease of access.  The Intuitive means the course should have a natural or expected flow, usually in a format already familiar with the student.  Appropriate means it should be have the right level for the student in terms of comprehension and challenge. By keeping these principles in mind then designers can ensure students or users have a pleasant experience with the product or course.  Its also important to consider adding learning metholodogies such as the ADDIE model.  I consider the “design” component of ADDIE to reflect the "easy, intiutive, and appropriate" format needed to design exceptional courses.

We use this 5-Step process, when developing a project:

  • A Needs Assessment– you need to know what your client and learner needs from the program, why it’s important, and what it’s supposed to do.

  • An Audience Analysis- who will be taking the course, what is their level of knowledge, how do they feel about technology, what’s their motivation

  • Design Analysis- we take our time to evaluate hundreds of tool and resources to make sure we are

  •

  • implementing the best educational technology for your project.

  •

  • Theoretical Foundation Analysis- This process makes sure the program or project is grounded in theoretical justifications, to ensure it will be strategically designed and ensure responsive information.

  • An Evaluation- We conclude each project with an evaluation because its important to know if a project fulfilled the learner's needs, were they satisfied, was their motivation reached. An evaluation lets you know if you're on the right track, how to make improvements, and what should be duplicated. Without an evaluation of your work you won’t learn and grow and this field is all about evolving for effective solutions.
